Meet the Team.

Established in 2021, Mission Renewable is run by a unique mix of professionals with a shared passion for helping service leavers, veterans, military spouses, and reservists to access new employment pathways within the renewables sector.

James Cameron, Chief Executive Officer

James joined the Army in 1995, serving 17 years including five operational tours in the Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan, latterly commanding the Armoured Group in 2010-2011 for which he was mentioned in Dispatches. He founded the Forces' Motorsport Charity while serving in 2012. The charity, in partnership with the Royal Foundation, delivers the award winning ‘Mission Automotive’ initiative – the UK Automotive industry’s Armed Forces Engagement initiative. In 2021 he led the team that developed Mission Renewable, a new Armed Forces Engagement Programme to the Renewable Industry.
